In the last few years, Cigar Box Guitars have made a big comeback. In addition to my line of acoustic and electric guitars, I also build fun, awesome sounding Cigar Box Style guitars. I build them in three, four, and six-string versions. I build them in lots of ways and with lots of looks. Most of these that I build are not actually made from real cigar boxes which are usually very cheaply made of cardboard, paper, and in some cases very flimsy, thin wood. My Cigar Box Style guitars are made to look like ci-gar boxes but are actually made from much more sturdily built wooden boxes that I make myself. I make them in acoustic versions, acoustic with electric piezo pickups, strictly magnetic pickup versions, or combinations of all the aforementioned versions. They are fun to make, fun to play, and have a very unique and awesome sound. The version pictured here is a 3 string, purely electric version equipped with two hotrail humbucker pickups, two volume controls, two tone controls, and a 3-way control switch.
